Although I loved the classes I took in the fall, it was a terrible schedule, so I wasn’t able to get an internship. Instead, I got a job as a hostess at Urban Grub, my favorite restaurant in Nashville. I loved the quick pace, the discounted meals, and the paychecks, but something was missing. Why was such a popular restaurant missing something so crucial — a strong social media presence? I reached out to the head manager and offered to put something together. After going over my proposal, he invited me to become their Social Media Director! I served in this role for seven months and enjoyed practicing social media work for fun.
